FISHING

Fishing is allowed in Monarch Lake and area streams. All Colorado fishing rules apply to this area. A brochure from the Colorado Division of Wildlife is located in the brochure rack in the cabin, and fishing regulations are posted on the outdoor bulletin boards. Everyone 16 and over need a fishing license.

The lake is stocked by the DOW, usually twice annually. For the latest stocking information, contact the DOW at 726-6200.

The deepest part of the lake is 25 feet, near the dam.

Non-motorized craft, such as belly-boats, canoes, and kayaks, are allowed on the lake. No license or permit is required.
