  • Spring Meeting and Potluck

    Saturday May 18th 5:30 pm. at Snow Mountain Ranch, Summit Building, Rawley Room.
    This is our planning meeting for all of our summer activities. P
    We will have Ralph Swain USFS as a guest speaker. Ralph is the Region 2 Wilderness Manager. His region covers 5 states and 4.3 million acres of wilderness. Ralph is an excellent speaker and you will learn a lot of new information, especially of how to communicate with wilderness visitors.

    Bring your calendar, we will be signing up for most of our summer activities.

    These activities include:

    • Monarch and Junco Cabin Hosting
    • Light Trail Work Hike leads
    • Wilderness trail work
    • Osprey nest monitoring
    • Repairing/building Bluebird boxes
    • Monofilament line collection/cleaning
    • USFS Granby office support

    We have three board members to replace: Bob Saint, Gary Perkins and Paisley. The nominating committee will present their recommendations and nominations will also be taken from the floor.

    Food Assignments:

    Note: Al and Toni will bring a GCWG 25th Anniversary cake to the meeting, so NO desserts needed.

    The main dish will be a variety of chicken from Citi Market.

  • New Member and Cabin Hosting Orientations
    Dates for Orientation:
    • Monarch Cabin Hosting Orientation is scheduled for Saturday, May 18th 10:00 a.m.
    • Junco Cabin Hosting Orientation is scheduled for Saturday, July 6th 10:00 a.m
    These orientations are for new members, and anyone who has not hosted a cabin, or feels they need a refresher. For more complete details click here
